Introducing FIREBALL!!
Sylvan Elementary School students, teachers, staff, and administration would like to introduce you to our new mascot: FIREBALL!
The students at our school voted on both the mascot and the name. Fireball met our students for the first time at our Auto Pilot Assembly on Friday, October 28, 2011.
Since the assembly, Fireball has visited both of our kindergarten classes as well as all of the students at recess time. The students waited for Fireball for a long time and are excited that he is here.
We would like to thank our Sylvan Student Council and ComCast Cares for helping us with the purchasing of Fireball.

Coming Soon at Sylvan Elementary School
There are many fun events and important dates coming soon at Sylvan Elementary School. Please look at the list below and mark your calendar for these dates and times.
- Parent/Teacher Conferences and Minimum Day Dismissal: November 4, 7-10, 2011. Teachers will schedule conference times. Dismissal is at 1:45PM for the days listed.
- Veteran's Day: Friday, November 11, 2011. NO SCHOOL
- Minimum Day: Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Dismissal is at 1:45PM.
- Thanksgiving Day Holiday: Thursday, November 24 - Friday, November 25, 2011. No school on those two days. School resumes Monday, November 28, 2011.
