Welcome to Daniel J. Savage Middle School, home of the Bobcats.
At Savage, learning takes precedence over every other activity. Our mission is to support all students academically and socially together while fostering a culture where students feel they belong, are treated with respect and dignity, and develop the skills and confidence needed for future success.
Serving students in grades 6-8, Savage Middle School provides a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students are challenged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through strong partnerships between students, families, and staff, we believe every student can learn, has the right to learn, and deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Opened in 2007 as Sylvan Union School District's third middle school, Savage serves families throughout northeast Modesto. Our dedicated staff uses evidence of student learning and collaboration to meet the needs of individual students while maintaining high expectations for all.
