Library Information

The Daniel J. Savage Library Media Center supports student learning by providing access to books, research materials, technology resources, and a welcoming environment for study and exploration.

Library Hours

• 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• 1:30 p.m. on Minimum Day Wednesdays

Students may check out books for a two-week period. Reference books and encyclopedias may be checked out overnight. Several databases are also available to support student research.

To help maintain a productive learning environment, food and drinks are not permitted in the library.

Chromebook Insurance

Chromebook insurance may be purchased online using a credit or debit card by clicking the link below.

Families wishing to purchase insurance with cash should contact the Technology Department at the Sylvan Union School District Office.

Protection plans purchased after the start of the school year may require device inspection and approval before coverage is activated.

Chromebook Charges

The following charges may apply for damaged, lost, or unreturned Chromebook equipment:

• Unreturned Chromebook: $220
• Unreturned Chromebook Case: $25
• Cracked Screen: $100
• Missing Charger: $35
• Missing Keys: $10 each
• Cover Damage: $40
• Hinge Damage: $60

Additional Chromebook repair and replacement charges may apply.
